The mission of the community of the Oblates in Aix-en-Provence is to be at the service of the whole Congregation, and of the persons (lay associates, members of the Institutes of Consecrated Life connected to the Oblates, and others), who wish to know more about the work and spirituality of St. Eugene de Mazenod. This is done by meetings for first and continued formation, by retreats, sessions, expositions, conferences, and other means. The community also does pastoral work at the Church of the Mission, which is also called the Oblate chapel. The community also does pastoral work with the Mazenod Family, with students, and, in collaboration with the diocese, with the high school students of Aix.
